Usually people remember names that both have the same starting letters. Like Big Bear Bakery. I was thinking that you could call your business "Picture Perfect Porcelain and Refinishing" and your slogan could be.. Making your bathroom picture perfect with ease!
im not going to give you a name, but I'll give you an idea of what you can do.
You wrote "I am refinishing bathtubs and sinks. ( Acrylic Fiberglass and porcelien on top of cast iron."
well, if that's what your doing, you could combine the names, like Acrylglass or something.
How about - Cast Iron Creations/Refinishing for Cast Iron Bathtubs and Sinks ---- Slogan: Bring the past back to life!
Make sure that what ever name you choose, that you say it out loud. I had a business name once that everyone, including myself got tongue tied with. Try saying "Red Roof Workshop" - out loud several times. It now sounds like "Ret Woof Wookshop" - :)
We have a business name now that includes the word Chameleon. Now no one can write us a check without having to ask how to spell it.
Just a few thoughts about getting creative.
Oh... and also make sure the name isn't already used for a website name. You will someday want to brand yourself on a website, and it would be a shame if you couldn't get your business name as your domain name.
I'll share with you the advice I've given others:
Well, I've done oodles of naming projects. Now, the reason I'm not suggesting a name for your business is this:
Do you also want to have a website? Reason I ask is that, if you do, the availability of the URL should be the final deciding factor on a name. For instance, you might love the name "DandyHandy," but unless dandyhandy.com is available you might want to keep looking.
For that reason, before you pick a name, check the URL availability at godaddy.com, or a similar site.
Here's a naming tip, though: Using your name is always a good way to go. It personalizes your service and that's key in your type of industry.
Lots of luck!

I don't remember (Marketing class) but their was about 4 letters of alphabet that was more effective in naming of a business. I think it was X or W, Q, _ , _ or ? Maybe someone knows that answer.
There had been a business in my city that painted their van bright pink with their name & telephone # on it. More people read their van than it on a basic color. Try a different bright color like orange or something. You will also need MARKETING to get your business name & telephone # out in the public. This will be an important issue.
Mr. Tub---It's short and sweet and easy to remember.
