I need help on trying to figure out what kind of colors I shoulld use to paint my room?
Question:I am looking for colors to make me more happy but I don't know kind I should get. I like dark colors not gothic colors more like boy colors.

I'm a young guy and find nothing wrong with sky blue:p I don't care if it's that wrong of me to think that, but it's a lighter color with a lighter mood to it, just kinda increasing the whole "positive atmosphere" vibe and whatever, so that's my input.
I would say Burgandy.
i like red and black cause there my school colors. but if you want boyish maybe dark red and Burgundy
Blue is supposed to be a good mood color. I like blue and gray myself. Go to the paint dept in any store of stop by a paint store and get paint charts. There are a kazillion colors out there.

Green is always good. You could paint the walls a lighter green and do the borders a dark shade.
Latte and browns and chocolate colors are out with white edges, they are soo sophisticated. check them out online or at the home depot

They brighten up ur room
what about green? - not too dark, but not neon. It's earthy and cool - nature theme.
*also a tan-ish color is good, and it's not like a crazy color that won't let you sleep at night. neutrals are good.
i think u should uses ur favorate colors... and that should make u happy or if u want blue use median blue in stead of dark blue
why don't you look at that kind of 'dark pumpkin' or 'curry' color? one of my brothers painted his living room in that color and it looks surprisingly good. the wood trim and ceiling is white. he has a dark wood floor and furniture in there. being a guy, he doesn't care about curtains but he has mini blinds that are off white.
before you paint the whole room, try to buy a small sample of the color you think you like and then put that on the wall and look at it for a few days before you make your choice for the whole room.
Paint the ceiling white and blue around the lines of the door and windows lines as well and the but tom lines also. the wall have to be white. Make sure the blue color is not to dark or not to bright. This is a Boy/man, room colors. To dark color are not good for some people moods.
Depending on how often you get to paint, I would pick colors that will grow with your tastes: maybe a nice mocha or khaki for the walls with red or green for an accent color. If your comment of "boy colors" is traditional, then I would go with a dark blue with red and green accents. If you prefer just blue, then I would go with a dark blue for the walls and a great teal/ turquoise for the accent. Good luck!
deep rich warm red. with hunter green, and chocolate brown accents, with a little bit of a warm (not lemony) yellow to give it light.
I would say paint the whole room rich warm red, and then whichever wall has a window (if multiple pick one) put up plaid wall paper that includes all colors mentioned. You can find incredibly inexpensive easy to put up wallpaper these days at any home depot/lowes. And then your furniture should be dark wood, if it isnt and you cant just go out and buy new furniture-- sand it down and paint it/stain it dark brown. Then add muted yellow bed sheets/lamp shades etcetera to lighten the place.
Alternatively if you're a more modern kinda person, I'd go with a medium grey all over, then put an accent stripe horizontally all the way around the room about midway up the wall. I'd go with lime green to give it some punch. And then have all your furniture black with lime green (or your choice of color) hardware. Plain black or grey or a mix bed linens with STRAIGHT roman shades in black would be awesome.
