We have light to medium gray/grey colored carpeting. What are the best colors to paint on our bedroom walls?

Question:The rest of the house was recently painted with antique white on the walls and super white on the ceiling, doors, and molding.

Answers:
Gray is a very neutral color but there are several colors that look really good with gray. I think because this is a bedroom you need to be concerned with mood. Colors can and do effect you. Red is a very warm and powerful color, I love it with gray but not so much in a bedroom. You should think about using calming colors in your bedroom so you can relax and rest. Calming colors are blues and greens. But blues and greens are cool colors and some people want more warmth in their personal space. I suggest you paint the walls a nice tan color like Sherwin Willams (Camelback). It's a rich color and it goes well with almost anything. It is also very easy to live with. Then paint a line about 3 ft up on one wall in a accent color like red, navy blue or orange.
Painting lines is easy with painters tape. Place the tape on the wall at the top and then again the bottom of the line you want to paint. Leaving at least 4 to 6 inches of wall in between the taped area. Paint this space with your accent color. You can make it even easier if you use a small roller to paint between the taped lines. Be sure to wait at least a couple of days before painting the accent line, In that way you can give the newly painted walls plenty of time to dry. FYI, be sure a use good painters tape so it won't pull the new paint off the wall.
Add throw pillows on your bed and or chair in the accent color to tie it in to the room.

go to the paint store and use there color charts,
Forest green.
light peach, avocado green or light yellow
it really depends on you, a french red would give a very dramatic romantic feel to the bedroom however, that may be a bit much for you. you could go for the same as the rest or a tone with more grey in the white.
Any yellow, blue or vibrant color that matches your furniture.
You can always add pillows or curtains, to incorporate the gray with the darker or much lighter color of the furniture in the room.
You need to pull a color from your existing decor in the bedroom. Perhaps a throw pillow or accent piece has a color you like. This question really depends on what the surrounding furnishings look like. With this color carpeting, you have a wide variety of colors to work with. Good luck.
well, i dont have any color ideas to go by but i would try to stay with neutral colors so it doesnt end up looking weird with the gray and looking like a cat threw up.
Red, Red, Red, you can do the whole room, one red wall, do the ceiling half way down the wall with red and then paper the rest down to the floor. It is surprising how rich the red will make your room, and red really pops any color of wood work.
That would depend on several things such as: what mood are you trying to create? What colors are in your furniture and decor? Is this a house you will want to resale soon, if so, you may want to stay in the neutral family, if not, get bold and brave and don't be afraid of color! Do not paint the walls a color that any member of the household does not like, talk with them and find out what colors everyone likes and coordinate with your furnishings.
Pink with a touch of white,
IN A BEDROOM YOU WOULD WANT SOMETHING SOOTHING AND RESTFUL.

I SAW A MOVIE STARS HOUSE WITH THOSE COLORS AND SHE HAD WHITE BEDSPREADS WITH RUFFLES AND THE WALLS WERE A PRETTY ROSE COLOR
