Answers:
I thought curtain or drapery rods too, when I first read your question.

Make your bed a four-poster (or two-poster) bed.
Hang a couple on the wall and then use something just as natural (jute, twine, natural colored rope) to suspend pictures from.
Cut them in half (length-wise) and use them as a molding or column look around a doorway.
Again, cut them in half and cut them shorter, put some sand in the base and then use tealight candles as a dining room or coffee table centerpiece. You might need to put some little flat "feet" on the bottom to keep it from rolling.
Bundle them together and tie with twine for a sculptural piece, varying the heights.
Cut them and use them as a molding or frame around a mirror.

I use bamboo poles as curtain rods. I have also cut some up in different lengths and arranged them in a tall wicker basket that is shaped like a vase. You can also make a bamboo fence if you want to use them outside. I didn't buy mine, they grew in the woods around my house.
You can make a bed awning out of them, a divider screen..a thatched overhang, many many things
I use them for curtain rods as well!
Split them in half and make a wall screen out of the. lace them together and attach them to a wall. then stain them with a medium stain...Beautiful.
