Vase - Coating or paint?

Question:Is there any paint or coating can spray into a Vase in glass surface. and the coating will not peel off and have very good in scratch proof.
I spray it with normal paint , the paint will peel off easily.
If there is any paint or coating can stick well and where can I buy this .
Thanks you

Answers:
Since your vase is glass..normal latex or oil paint will not stick to it by itself. If you want to paint it then use the primer BIN first (made by Zinsser). You can get this in a spray or can form. Its a shellac based primer that will stick to any surface and allow you to paint on top. Its cure time is much shorter than BullsEye 123 so it would be the right choice.

As for your paint on top - if you want a paint that is more chip resistant than others - use either a Melamine paint (oil based and can be tinted to various colours), or use a product called Varathane Colours in Plastic. You will have less choices of colours with the Varathane product as they are premade. With the melamine you can pick your colour.

So its just a matter of using the right primer first and then the more chip resistant paint after.

Good Luck

since vases for decoration are inexpensive to buy, why not just buy the kind and color you want. Try walmart, k-mart, or sometimes there are outlets wher eyo can buy vases.

Some paint has latex in it and is made that way for ease of cleaning. Lots of people spray paint items for temporary color.

Those are my suggestions for you to consider. No, I don't know of a paint that covers glass well. I don't think there is such a paint. I know only that people have used pieces of brown painters tape and then rubbed it with shoe polish. But I think everything comes off of glass eventually.
There are paints made especially for glass, as well as surface conditioners that you use before applying the paint. Your best bet is to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and find out what they have. Typically, you'd want an enamel paint for glass, unless you were doing stained glass items and wanted a transparent look. Enamel paints are oil-based and tend to give you a better finish. Also, ask about sealers you can use after you paint the vase. Sealers can be sprayed on in either a glossy or a matte finish, but you'd need one made especially for the kind of paint you eventually use. Get some advice from the store, and good luck!
