Does paint in Mexico have Lead in it?

Question:I live in Mexico and have a baby... I want to paint the interior of our home but no one here knows what I am talking about when I ask for lead-free paint. In the states I think it is the norm now but I don't know how to find out if there is still lead here... anyone know about this?? thanks!
