Can silly string ruin paint on houses?

Question:i silly stringed someone's house and they're claiming it's going to ruin the paint.
i said bullshit and they just want us to pay money.

Answers:
That's funny. Bullshit gets through.

Silly string can damage some paints, especially if shot at close range - within 2 or 3 feet. The liquid form has a small amount of solvent present, which can interact with some paints. The dried form contains acrylic and plasticizers that can cause problems if they get warm.

The sooner it is removed, the less chance there is for a problem. Exposure to heat from the sun is not good. If it is still there, get it off soon. If it has already caused damage, it should be easy to see either as a stain on the paint or a bit of bubbling in the places the string made contact.

no
I think they are lying.
People can claim anything. I could probably find an authority to say it does if I pay enough money. I have never heard such non-sense
