Should I throw away this lamp/table or keep it?

Answers:
It appears to be in good condition.
Why throw it out when you can just update it?
Do a faux crackle on it. Or just spray paint it! Then just change the lampshade or do a stencil on the one you have.
Nobody can really tell you the answer to that, nobody knows what it looks like. Is it nice? Do you have room for it? Where did you get it? Is it just taking up much needed space?
Honest opinion... It's just there. It doesn't offer any huge statement as to your personality or style (or does it?) but it certainly isn't ugly or anything. It looks like if you have a place for it, it can certainly serve its purpose. If you have another end table and you have a bit of cash to spend, I'm sure you can find a lamp with more character, but there's nothing wrong with this one. Besides, with a few personal accessories, the character of the lamp won't necessarily matter. The table is a nice mission style. Is that in keeping with the rest of your decor?
Try selling it on ebay or at a garage sell. What about giving it to habitat for humanity? Goodwill Industries is an excellent place to replace it also. They provide citizens with disabilities a place to work and with supplies they need. The lamp and table look to be in good shape. Hope you make the right decision.
It's really just okay. I'm not overly fond of it or anything. But like the other person said it does serve a purpose if you need it. But don't throw it away, if you don't want it donate it to goodwill or the salvation army or something I'm sure someone could use it. We donate our items to a local abused women and children's center they have a place where the women can chose items they need when they are ready to set up house on their own because often they only leave with the clothes on their backs.
Looks old and dated. I'd keep it if I had a place to put it. Otherwise I'd sell it at a garage sale.
Table is good. Lamp..nah. I would remove the lamp, paint/urethane the table, then put a sun umbrella relevant to the size of the table where the lamp was and use it outdoors on a deck or patio or lawn, with a couple of nice chairs.
