Opinion on chandelier and dining table?

Question:I've looked at so many chandeliers that I'm cross-eyed, lol, and I can't make up my mind. I'm looking for a transitional style to "casual down" the dining room. Thank you for your opinion.

Here's the chandelier (click for larger view or view in room) if you wish.

This is my dining table and chairs...I have the buffet, not the china cabinet.

Perhaps my color setting are different on my screen, but I dont' think the colors work well. As much as I am a fan of wrought iron, I think it classes with the class of the furniture.

If you insist on wrought iron, consider a different color such as:

This one I really like, it is still transitional...but even has an antique crackle.

This one definately is toned down to casual with the wicker, but it is away from the wrought iron..I'm not sure of the rest of your decor, so it may not work at all for you...but I love the chandelier.

I don't think the chandelier goes with the dining room furniture. The light fixture looks like primitive colonial. The furniture is high elegance. I think a crystal and brass light would work well with the furniture.
The chandelier will look fine with the furniture -- especially if your point is to make the room feel more casual. You may want to consider bringing other black elements into the room -- wrought iron candlesticks, frames, etc. I wouldn't use them on that table, though. A triangle of like colors helps to keep the eye moving around the room. Maybe wrought iron candlesticks on the buffet and a painting rich in black or large, black framed photos on the opposite wall.
I DO NOT FEEL THEY MESH WELL TOGETHER YOU NEED A MORE BROWN TONED FIXTURE ABOVE!! --THE BLACK, WAS BEAUTIFUL BUT DIDN'T FIT THE STYLE OF THE DINING ROOM-- WHICH IS ALSO VERY BEAUTIFUL THOUGH.
