How much is a good price to pay a friend to install laminate flooring?

Question:

ASK him what he wants! ~

Well, it's all relative. For instance if he only charges you 1/2 of what a pro would, but screws it up, it's really not much of a bargain. I would try getting a quote from a pro and compare that to what he wants. Just be careful, you may save some money but lose a friend.
A good hourly rate.Installed 450 ft of it, it is a real pain, and not as simple as it is made out to be. Anything you pay him will be worth it. Hopefully he has installed it before.
Professionals calculate it by square footage. The running price in my area (Texas) is appx. $2-$3 a sq ft. for laminate flooring.
I would also definitley get a quote from a professional if your friend has no idea about how much to charge. Obviously your friend will charge you less, but you want to pay them fairly!
