I've always been told that ceiling white is the way to go.
Your walls could be that color, but think about how intense you want your bathroom. If you wake up in the middle of the night and look at your self in the mirror, that color will flatter no one's skin color. Also, if you have to puke, you don't want to have to look at that color while you are trying to come back from the throws of despair.
That's why most people do not use popping colors on the walls of their bathroom, but go for intense colors on paintings and towels and rugs.
It's all up to you, babe.
i looked at the pics and think it could look very good, and unique.
Well, it's definitely up to you, but red is really bright. Just remember that wherever you put the red (if you don't put it everywhere), that is probably what your eye will be drawn to upon walking in. Just ask yourself what you want people (or yourself) to notice first. Do you want them immediately looking at your shower and the area above it?
I would recommend painting the entire rooms walls red, to not make the red stand out so much. Paint the ceiling the tan color. I definitely wouldn't paint the ceiling red as that will make the room look even smaller.
