Cheap, do-it-yourself arts and crafts, decor?
Question:I'm looking for some cheap arts and crafts ideas to decorate around my apartment. I'm trying to decorate as much as possible without spending much money. I can't do anything perm. because it's an apartment, so no painting and such. I don't want to do anything that looks childish or tacky, either.
Help!

You could put these in a vase and they look really beautiful. Or you could do something creative with them - form a frame, something for the table, hang them in the window, etc.
They would be very expensive to buy (a bouquet can be $500 - $735). I'm making these now. I found some pretty plastic beads that look like crystals on sale for 50 cents (bag of 40). I'm also using some beads I bought at the dollar store - and they still look gorgeous when they're done. Not cheap, childish, or tacky at all. The wire is just a little over $1 to buy (I'm using 26 gauge wire).
They're pretty quick and easy to make!

A pretty simple (and cheap) guide to making a "fantasy" flower basket. Could be considered "childish" or "tacky", but doesn't have to be.
