Contemporary Bedroom?
Question:I want to make my bed room contemporary and modern looking. I need to make it cheep though. Any thoughts and stores where contemporary furniture is sold in Austin, TX.
I am a male so no feminine ideas please.

ikea? lol...i dunno i think they have some sort of modern stuff there.. try painting one wall of your room a different color than the other three--- like if the other three are beige/cream color make the fourth wall dark brown...it really looks chic and modern.
Go to eBay and type in Ikea...you will come up with lots of cool, modern ideas for very little money. One such suggestion would be their Malma mirrors. These are 12" squares of wood with a smaller square mirror in the middle. The wood comes in several colors, I bought 9 of the dark brown and put them in a square on the wall above my headboard. Cost maybe $25, looks great and was easy to hang. Also, go streamlined, less junk sitting around, nice clean lines. I like the idea also stated of painting three walls one color and have the fourth a different color. Another cheap and easy way to modernize. Good luck!
