We're remodeling our kitchen-is it OK to put the stove next to the fridge?

If it makes sense for you, then yes, you can do that.
My mom designed the kitchen in our old house that way. there was just about a foot of counterspace in between the fridge & the stove - enough for the coffeemaker. It works out well b/c you don't have to walk away from the stove if you need something out of the fridge. And there was never any issue with the heat from the range effecting the fridge or any blown circuits.
I think that the heat from the stove would make your fridge run more, in the summer that is, if you're cooking something and opening the fridge a lot the heat would go into the fridge with it being so close..I wouldn't do it.
More earth friendly if you don't. Uses more electricity that way, the competing hot/cold. But we had ours that way for about three years before we remodeled.
i wouldnt
I would be careful - think about when you open the fridge door and have something on the stove with a long pot handle. You don't want to knock anything off. Also think about if you are standing behind the stove cooking and someone needs to get something out of the fridge
technically it shouldnt hurt anything but do you have two circuits next to each other and will the door opening hit a person working at the stove. think about workspace and convienience not style in a kitchen
Shouldn't be a problem. We have lived in our home for 5 years with the stove next to the fridge with no problems. It actually makes cooking meals easier an more efficient in my opinion.
As long as you have some counter space between them. You don't want them side by side. The heat from the oven will radiate to you fridge and cause it to unnecessarily work harder.
No the two would not mix. the heat from the stove may effect the fridge
I don't think is a good Idea because of the heat
Stoves really won't heat up a fridge that is next to them. That isn't the issue. Stoves are built for zero clearance and the heat is maybe 10 degrees warmer. For that small mount of time there is no big heat gain for the fridge. The reason you don't want that is that most people use the counter just to the right of an appliance to set things down. If you can't fit the jug of milk in the fridge without moving the pizza box you want to put the milk down and move the box. Well, if the stove is there then you can't do that.. it will make you mad. Vice versa with the stove. 18 inches is the minimum work area between your major work areas. Ideally you want that (or more) on both sides.
its not good to put two major appliances in the same outlet, you can overload it.
I have never seen these applianced together side by side but I think it might be possible.
