Ball park, how much would it cost.?

Question:to put in new kitchen cabinets? Say we bought them wholesale and installed them ourselves, just regular hardwood ones, how much would the ball park figure be?

Answers:
Depends on the grade of wood that you're buying and what your kitchen layout is.

If you have a galley style kitchen and buy cabinets from IKEA and install yourself, I would think you could do it for about $2000.

If your cabinets are in reasonable shape, I would encourage you to either paint them, reface them or have new doors made for them. Cabinets are SO expensive!!

Good luck!

depending on how many and the style I'd say 3 to 5 grand.
We priced replacing all of our kitchen cabinets with the generic, store stocked cabinets they carry at lowes. We were looking about about 2500 (we have a 10X10 kitchen) plus countertops. That was no crown molding or extras and That was installing them ourselves. We also had an estimate done to do custom cabinets in our house (through Lowes) and have them do the install. We were looking at about 8000 for that, but that was them doing all the labor.

Instead, we painted our current cabinets white, put on new hinges and hardware, and sold the house. :)
