Have you crafted using glue and wrinkled brown paper sacks?

Question:I saw a back of a bookcase that had been redone with small wrinkled torn pieces of brown paper and it was great looking. I'm redoing a old paper lamp shape and need to know what to do after the paper dries? How do I seal it and what color or stain (?) will look good? Thanks for info, color suggestions or sealer or stain ideas!

Answers:
i dont know for sure, but it sounds just like paper ma-shay-ing (sorry lol) but i think after it might look cool if you give it a textured look.. use a sponge with any two colors

you can never go wrong with white/tan colors in texturing

just be sure to add a little water to the glue
