Where to hide my hidden camera?
Question:I need to place a camera in my bedroom to make sure the cleaning lady is not taking anything. Things always seem to be misplaced, moved, missing, etc. I have a tiny wireless spy camera that runs on a 9Volt battery. Here is the link to it,http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b000bl1...
i have to make sure she won't see it since she cleans everywhere. I was thinking on top of the curtain rod (place the battery clip behind it and have the pinhole barely showing. I having real trouble. If anyone knows of a really good place where she would least suspect it I would appreciate it.
Answers:
Well, I suppose you know that camera doesn't record at least the receptor is connected to a vcr or to a Tv if you are going to be watching it.
Do some testing first, to see if nothing interfere.

Look buy your self a stuffed animal and place inside the stuffed animal and she'll never expect it. But if you alreay noticed that you're missing things then I would just fire her.
curtain rod sounds good.but if your stuff is not secure, figure out a way to keep things nice at your place without having someone come in and clean...cause you can't live that way, even many relataives can't be trusted not to snoop or be tempted to take things..Don't let it have a chance to happen.
Wow that is kinda hard to hide. It kinda obvious and big and not to mention that it is black so you can't place it anywhere near bright colors. Here are some sugestions:
1) Get those wireless cameras that are built like a stero or ordinary objects (stero system, phone, etc.). Here is a link:

It has many neat ordinary objects but really, its a spy camera. Cool eh?
2) Is the camera paintable? If so, try to color it green and place it in a plant and tell the water lady not to water it because you watered it already. This method is tricky because if she actually does water it then your camera is wrecked. Also, if you don't paint it, you can bury half or most of it in the soil including the battery.
3) Fire her! and hire a new one.
4) Keep your items secure and in a security box or a locked location.
5) Clean up yourself
That is all i can think of. I think idea #1 is best although you got to spend more money. It would catch her in action so you can report it to the police and get some of your pocessions back. I'm not a professional spy so i can't give you really really good advice but hope this help. GOOD LUCK!!
if you suspect she is stealing she probably is not cleaning-
hide it where you see a constant cobweb.
Hiding Spy Camera in a Bedroom
If a person is concerned whether the spouse is cheating or not, the most obvious place to install a hidden camera would be in a bedroom.
But which place in a bedroom would be best to put the hidden cam?
Nightstand - Ok, most bedroom have nightstands, right. So one of the best places to put a hidden camera into would be a nightstand, behind some regular object, like a clock or radio. You could get a hidden camera already built into a clock and put it right on the nightstand.
Curtain-Rod - Another place could be a curtain-rod. If you can get a tiny spy camera, which is barely seen from a 10 feet distance, you could mount it on the top of the curtain or curtain-rod. You could get much better viewing angle and record everything without much trouble.
TV Set - Many people have TV’s in bedrooms. So putting a tiny camera near the TV or on top of TV would be a good idea. Of course, the spy camera should be hidden and not look like a spy camera.
PC - Some people have PC’s in their bedrooms. One could simply replace the regular speakers with new ones, which already have a spy camera installed and perform secret surveillance this way.
Book Shelf – Placing a hidden camera in a book shelf might be a good idea. Especially when the hidden camera is in a shape of the book.
Placing a Hidden Camera in a Living Room
Teddy Bear – Many people have all kinds of plush toys. It’s possible to simply take one and put a camera inside.
Toy Cars – If there are any toy cars in the living room or any other room, you could put a small micro camera into that toy and spy on the others.
Mirrors – You could buy a two-sided mirror and put a spy camera there. Otherwise, it’s possible to buy a mirror with a hidden camera built inside already.
Lamps – You could take one light bulb or lamp out and put a spy camera inside. Then put the light back and start surveillance. Just make sure than someone doesn’t try to repair it.
Flowers – You could put a small camera inside a flower pot and put it on a windowsill for instance. If you have some flowers in the living room or plants, this won’t look odd.
Switches – Tiny cameras could be placed into light switches. Some light switches have covers, which help mask the spy camera’s lenses.
Placing a Hidden Camera in a Kitchen
Lastly, you might want to put a spy camera in the kitchen. This wouldn’t look suspicious if you put a clock in the kitchen somewhere.
There are already designed spy cameras that look like coffee mugs. Could you find a better place for such item other than kitchen?
Lastly, you could get one of those wearable spy cameras and put it wherever you want. Bedroom, living room, kitchen or office room. Nowhere such item will look suspicious. They can be pens, glasses, lighters, cell phones etc.
I have the same size micro camera and I think the best way to hide it is put it in a small plant. The battery can go in the dirt and the camera can hide in the brush. Or you could buy a camera that's visible so that it intimadates the maid from stealing. I have a maid also and I sometimes think she took stuff but actually I just miss place it. Oh yeah , you could set the maid up with some nonvaluable items and see if the maid takes it. IDK, but hidding the camera in a plant would be good.
Wow that thing looks smaller than 7x6 inches.
Well here's what I would do. Is your computer or laptop black? If so attach it on the side or bottom (if you don't have a laptop) of your monitor or maybe your speakers. Hopefully it faces the room, but even if it doesn't and you face the camera towards the room, she probably won't notice as it will blend in with the rest of your equipment.
I would also just fire her if you're really concerned.
