Window Air Conditioner with the most range?

Question:I want to install a window air conditioner but I don't know which has the best range and the most power. I want the air conditioner to be powerful and spread to as much of the room as possible. It is a dining room as well as a living room. Thanks for the help! :)

When shopping for a windows air conditioner, look for the BTU measurement. Typically, the more BTU the more power. However, when cooling a small room, a large BTU will work against you. You need to find the right one.

Both my daughter and I have the same size bedrom. Her's in an 8000 BTU and mine is 12000. Her's cools better faster and is more quiet.

If you are trying to cool a very large room then of course you will need a high BTU but keep in mind the more BTU, the more powerful compressor and the more noise. Hope this helps.
