Between chrome and brushed nickel faucets, which will last longer and easier to clean?
Question:
Answers:
Both should last a long time, as long as they are a good brand. Chrome is less expensive than brushed nickel. But brushed nickel will not show water spots and finger prints like the polished chrome will. Both are easy to clean, just follow manufacturers care instructions... don't use harsh abrasive cleaners, or anything with bleach.
Brushed nickle won't tarnish as fast as chrome.
They will both last a long time. How long depends on the quality of the finish, not the type.
Design has more influence on cleaning than finish. I just installed some cheap faucets from Wal*Mart. I don't know the name of the style, but it has lots of decorative loops and crevices. These are a pain to clean!
Here is my hack.
