How to get carpet glue off of skin?
Question:We are disolving and scraping carpet glue off a concrete floor and my daughter decided to sit on the floor and scrape it. She had shorts on and the disolving glue got on her shorts and glued them to her butt. We have tried everything to get it off, from solvents to orange oil. I tried calling the home depot...the guy just laughed and hung up. Guess he thought I was pranking him, but it's not a joke. Anyone got any ideas? And please, she feels bad enough without anyone making jokes at her expense, so could you only give useful ideas?

soak her skin in some hot water or as hot as she can stand.
try goof off which is an oil base and takes glues, gums, etc. off of most anything.
If you can cover her skin with a piece of cardboard except for the glue spot, use a hair dryer to soften the glue back to its normal stage and it should come off.
rub with hand lotion on your body before you paint or glue in the home. it acts like a barrier and the junk will slide right off.
i got my fingers stuck together with some heavy duty glue, paint thinner got it right off. i did it real quick and then washed it off, so it didn't irritate my skin.
get some diesel fuel, just a bottle cap full, or some kerosene, and it will come right off... and after it comes off,, wash with oil of olay soap.
