What color should I paint my kitchen?
Question:So my fiance and I just moved in our house and we dont know what color to paint the kitchen. It's a VERY old house so it has alot of character...there is brick behind the cabnets above the counter and behind the stove. So we need to choose a color that matches well with brick..any ideas?

What color is the brick?
Very nice on the colors.
I would paint the walls in a gold. See www.sherwinwilliams.com and view the colors june day and midday.see if you like those.
Also I would lighten up the cabinets with a light glaze, if you have indentations on the cabinets, highlight them in a brass metallic paint. Or dry brush them in a metallic color. Nothing intense, you can even just add a tad amount of metallic paint, such as 1 part paint to 5 parts glaze so that the color is translucent.
A fun mustard color would look neat...just make sure it's a modern yellow and doesn't look like it's from the 50s
Try like a pale green tht would look awesome.or if u want like warm colors like red, orange and a little yellow combo would look great in decoration with like plain walls
Also what color are the cabinets. Thanks.
I would go with a pale yellow, sort of like adding a little cheery sunshine to brighten the room. Especially when the cabinets are dark as well as the brick.
yellow
A pale yellow would would be warm and look great. An antique (gray) blue would also look great and would be more modern especially with stainless steel appliances. Both would be really nice.
