yellow
Black, cream, green, brown like a coffee color.
pink and black accents; or maybe lime green depending how deep the purple.
white
I thinks something nuteral will go with purple. Try white, or grey (in the same tone as the purple)
It really depends on the shade of purple you are thinking of. Grey or silver would be a safe bet, but there are many possiblities depending on the shade.
My absolute favorite color is purple. And when I was a kid I begged my parents to let me paint my room purple. A few times I used different colors of purple; lights and darks together. When I got a bit older I then used purple and green. The green is kind of garden-like, but they make each other POP. Also, if you just want to make the biggest statement, you can use yellow as an accent, yellow is purple's complementary color in the color-wheel
i had my room painted purple and white. it depends on how dark the color is. black trim would go also a shade of red.
Pink and purple go together if you want to make it look REALLY girlie.

Purple and green go beautifully, and will look a bit more toned down, and less "in your face" girlie.

Purple and yellow also go together nicely, but have a tendency to look kind of victorian when you mix them together.

Gray and purple go together, but the gray has a tendency to look a bit military if you put it on the wall. However, you can find beautiful materials for accessories that tend to go silver, which is just gorgeous.

Good luck - I hope your daughter likes it!
My school colors were purple and gold.
I saw a pretty bedroom not long ago that was actually for an older (grown) girl but would look great for any age. The "painter" selected a paint sample card at the paint store. These have four or more shade of the same color tones and would match. Select a light color that you like for the walls (lavender?) with a darker shade for the trim - or vice/versa. Also bright white trim would look good also. The lavender walls had little squares taped on them with painters tape and the squares were "silver leafed" (buy silver leaf paper at home centers and apply by tapping with a brush in the area where you want to put it. Then the tape was pulled off leaving a wall treatment that was unique. I saw something like this on a HGTV show a couple of years ago and it looked good too.
purple and royal blue or tans or greens i work for Lowe's and we have altot of wall pops you peel and pop on the wall stop by and check out the wallpaper section
Blues and Greens
I like purple and lime green. Turquoise might be fun, and since it is a summery color you can probably find lots of accessories right now!
Lime green is beautiful with purple.
sliver would be cool.
