My floor vents dictate the placement of my furniture. Any suggestions?

Question:My floor vents (heating and a/c) run along my two exterior walls of my living room. The problem is, where I would like to place my sofa and loveseat would completely cover the vents. Is there a way around this without having to redo my ventilation system?

Answers:
Sure! There are places where you can by "vent directors" (i'm not sure this is what they're called), but they're very low to the floor, and cover the vent, pushing the hot air under furniture and out into the room. Many catalogs and stores sell these, and many are adjustable to the size of the furniture.

you can get the duct vent directors at Lowes or any home store.
