How do I make the nail holes in my walls less visible?

Question:I am getting new furniture, mirrors, pictures, etc. I'm taking all the old stuff off the walls and putting new on.the only problem is that there are now nail holes in my white walls...is there a way I can fill them in or make them less visible? Thanks!

Answers:
Yeah, I just did this in my house. Go down to your local hardware store and pick up a tube of spackling compound, usually found near the caulking. Make sure it is paintable. Then fill the holes with it and once it dries paint over it. The holes practically disappear.

Hope this helps

Depending on the size of the holes you should just grab a lightweight spackle from a home improvement store
buy a small can of spackle (less than 3 bucks at a paint store) spread it into the holes to fill them. clean up around the hole and the spackle in the hole will dry pretty quickly in a color of white.
If you don't have any original paint to use over the spackle, take a sample chip from somewhere and bring it to the paint store. Their machine can match it and they'll mix you a quart of matching paint.
Use any white toothpaste. You can match and form textures because you have plenty of working time. If they are smooth walls, lightly sand the surface flat and fill. Once the paste is dry you can sand it flat, too.
You can fill small holes with white toothpaste. the lightweight spackling is sold everywhere and doesn't cost much..
Have fun with your redecorating!
Spackle them
believe it or not don,t go any where except your medicine cabinet. white toothpaste will fill in those holes and will air dry to form a plug if you want to paint over the top of it. if not the white
toothpaste should blend right in in time to the color of your walls.
I wouldn't use toothpaste, it's good for a quick fix, but you should just get a small tub of spackle, they even have pink spackle in a tube that dries white. They are all inexpensive. If you are just talking about small nail holes, I just apply it with my finger because there is no sanding involved. Larger holes will require a putty knife, a cheap plastic one will do and possibly a small sanding sponge to smooth out.
