Warm water and whatever soap you use to wash the dishes. All those fancy cleaners are a waste of money. I've fabricated stone now for 3 years and soap and water works fine. Natural stone wants to absorb liquid that's why you should put a sealer on it once a year to prevent that abortion. And all you do is spray on the sealer and let it sit and absorb over night. Than wash it off in 24 hours. A $40 bottle will last you longer than you'll probably own your home!

You can seal it every year but don't have to do anything. The seal is basically a wax that doesn't do much. Granite is a stone. The shine you have is natural. You won't improve it and it won't go away.
Depending on the amount of use, you should seal it every 6 months to a year. That will keep anything from penetrating onto the granite. Having said that, try to wipe spills as soon as you can, especially citrus, vinegar and wine, anything with an acid base (tomato products also.) I saw on a granite site, not to use soap and water to wash the granite, only water, as it will make the granite look dull. I just use a bar cloth and water and dry with a towel. I have not used a granite polish , but am going to be looking into one.
