I am also looking for a "flat top" gas cooking surface. If what you are looking for is an even surface to slide pots and pans around on your cooktop you may want to check out the following:
Wolf 36” gas range top
"Low Profile continuous grate.
Just looking at a Wolf gas cooktop makes you want to try a new recipe. From highest heat to subtlest simmer, total control is at your fingertips. The sealed burners deliver 15,000 Btu of heat and produce a continuous flame at even the lowest settings."
Viking
"Continuous Grate Cooking Surface
It's a breeze to slide stew-laden pots or to utilize multiple burners with the heavy duty virtually continuous grate surface."
Thermador
Doesn’t have a trade name for the even working surface
SGSX365CS
36" SGSX STAINLESS STEEL GAS COOKTOP
GE Cooktop
GE® 36" Built-In Gas Cooktop Model#: JGP628SEKSS
Maytag MGC6536BD
"Continuous One-Piece Grates - make it easier to slide large pots across the cooktop"
Also check out consumer reports they are all for the cheeper models and I may be leaning toward them too.

I have never heard of one.
I'm afraid you are going to have to pick either a gas stove or a flat top electric. There is no such thing as a flat top gas range. Just think about it.you can't have a gas flame under a flat stove top. That would start a major housefire.
Personally, I would go with the gas stove. Gas stoves are just plain better, in my opinion.
No, they do not produce flat top gas ranges. However, they do produce flat top gas GRIDDLES, which is sort of like a range. Do a search for flat top gas griddle to locate them.
Sorry I can't help more.
no...gas needs outlets for the flames...there are NO gas ceramic tops on ranges...
