Is the yellow in the living room cool? Shoud I paint the accent wall olive or leave...?
Question:primed over the nasty blue? And if I do that, what should we call the room?

Yellow is good. Primer isn't. Paint would look nicer. Just don't know what color. Name it sunshine on a cloudy day.
Definitely leave the yellow. It's a very cheery color, and will brighten anyone's mood. Paint is better than primer and olive is a great color for your accent wall. You should call your yellow room "Happy Days".
Why not try a color to compliment the yellow like a mustard for dark, or add a little red to the original color for an orangy side of the same yellow base?
It all depends on how you want to accentuate the room. The mustard would tone it down a bit, the orangy side would keep it bright .
How about calling the room ....living room ???
There is only special rooms if they're built that way. For example, a Sante Fe room is just that. You can use decor to enhance the rooms look but a kitchen is always a kitchen and a den ( family room, game room ) is always that.

Depends on your personality. You could blend in some lime greens, lavenders and blues for a stunning, modern and welcoming environment

The yellow and olive will look okay if the yellow paint has a green tint to it and compliments the olive color you have chosen (like a golden yellow, not sunshine pale yellow).

I think purple with yellow is very fresh.
