Redecorating...?
Question:ok-im 12 and im redecorating my room.i already hav permission and my moms gonna help me.my floor is gray and has 2 stay tht way (carpet).other than that i can redo evrything else.i REALLY wanna hav a purple room,and 2 me purple goes w/ gray.i hav a rectangular room except 4 the closet takes a small square out of it.my ceiling goes like this: _

only not so steep :).i hav a dresser,a desk w/ a mirror,a twin bed,a mushroom chair (pink) a smaller desk,a very small children's wardrobe tht a tv,sattallite box,vcr,& ps2 (& videos ,games.) go on.o yea there is also:2 white crate type shelf things,an easel,2 bulletin boards,& LOTS of posters!ny ideas?

Cover a wall or the ceiling in a collage of posters and that'll take care of one wall, or make a border of posters at each wall. String Christmas lights across your ceiling and turn them on at night. Attach the bulletin boards to the backs of your doors, one for the closet door and one for the entry door and cover the boards with pretty fabric and ribbon.
Flip the two crates over and set them down next to your chairs and use them as tables. I would recommend leaving them mostly white to attract attention and splatter paint with grey and purple while leaving most of it white. Paint both desks and the dresser white and do the splatter design as well to that, but alternate between the grey and purple splatter with the pink and grey splatter. I wouldn't suggest putting the pink and purple together since the grey would emphasize the pink or the purple while the two would fight in their brightness.
Put the easel in a corner and buy a dictionary. Put the dictionary next to it and every morning or night, before you go to bed, learn a new word and write it on the easel with the definition.
If your floor is dark gray, I'd go with a light purple.pastel. If it's a light gray, a darker lavender purple would be nice. Ü You didn't say the size of your room, but you might also want to get rid of a few items in your room, so you'll have a more open space. As for the posters, that's a matter of personal taste. If you want to show off your walls you might not want to put too many posters on them. Maybe get some wooden frames to frame a few posters, and paint the frames the same gray of your carpet to incorporate those two colors together better. You could even sponge paint some gray over the purple on your walls if you want.
