How much does it cost to have a terrace house re roofed?
Question:how much does it cost to have a terrace house re roofed in leeds. just a rough guide will do. thanks
Answers:
It depends on what you want to have the roof re-covered with, ie clay tile/slate/concrete tile etc, and also if you need to have the roof refelted and battened. If you have a house with the original slate roof then you will need to have it re-felted and battened, which will be obviously more expensive. Assuming your house is an average terrace size, to re-cover the roof in tile would be around £3500 (London areas will be more), and around £4000 in slate. Add another £1500 or so if felt is also required. Make sure that any roofer you bring in to give you estimates is recommended by a friend or a construction professional/tradesman. There are more cowboys and conmen in roofing than in all the other trades combined, and it is very easy to get stung. I always advise clients who do not have a tradesman they trust to contact their local trading standards office, as they often have an approved contractor scheme.
Hope this helps
Well it depends on the company you hire, you can range from $150-$200 a square foot. But of course if you do it yourself then it will be a lot cheaper.
Your talking around £5,0000 at least or more i reckon, friend of mine had it done and thats how much he paid for his and thats in northampton.
