How do I fill in the gaps above the molding if the ceiling is not perfectly flat in some spots?
Question:Would white caulking be an option?
Answers:
Yes, Caulking is a good option.
White caulk is about the only option.
Tetrion filler the powdered version.
buy a caulk gun and caulking, and fill uneven spot.choose your caulking according to color of ceiling.
Yes caulking is how you do it buy latex caulk fill the gap wipe with your finger clean up excess with a wet rag make sure the caulk is latex & is paintable in case you want to trim paint at a later date
Make sure it's 'paintable' white caulk, and not the stuff you use for kitchen and bath jobs. You want more acrylic and latex rather than silicone to make it paintable. Get a good brand like DAP or GE and it will last a while.
Squirt a careful bead along the crack, afterwards, take you finger and pull it along the bead to smooth it down. Keep lots of paper towels handy to wipe off you finger.
you could or get some putty, then sand and paint to desired liking :)
paintable latex caulk. Smooth with a slighly damp paper towel, wringing and rewetting often from a bucket of h2o
buy some paintable caulk. cut very little off the tip of caulk gun and then keep a damp rag so you can keep your finger moist. take index finger of eithr hand. depends on which direction your going. and place finger at tip of caulk and drag it along crack. you'll figure out how fast you need to move your caulk as you go.follow the crack and you won't have such a mess to clean up that way you can control the caulk.
