How to buy an area rug? ,?

Question:I would like help buying an area rug for the master bedroom. What kind of material, thread count, under rug mats? I need to know every thing.

I have been looking on Ebay and see a lot of rugs that look nice for under $100. Are these rugs to good to be true? Are they really just junk or can a $100 6x8 area rug really be of good quality?

I got an 11 x 7 rug at Home Depot or Lowe's for like $88.00 but they don't advertise them.you have to go look. But they are not the big high quality ones.they are just "disposable ones" but they were nice.
