yes I do, but I'll let wikipedia describe it for me ;)
a type of bedding— a soft flat bag traditionally filled with down or feathers, or a combination of both and used on a bed as a blanket.
Duvets reduce the complexity of making a bed, as it is a single covering instead of the combination of sheets, blankets, and quilts or other bed covers, which is traditional in many parts of the world. The cover is called a "duvet cover" or a "quilt cover".
Nowadays, a duvet is sometimes filled with silk, wool, or artificial fibers (such as polyester batting or other artificial material)
It is sometimes confused with a comforter, although comforters go on top of the traditional sheets and blankets and are primarily decorative while duvets are used alone.
comforter or quilt
I know what a duvet is I worked in a bedding store... and a comfortor is not a duvet a comfortor is like a duvet but they tend to have a pattern to them so they can "stand alone" when a duvet is usually white and needs to be covered like an oversized pillow... the big bonus is once you have a duvet you can buy covers for them that are less expensive then replacing an entire comforter...
i always thought it was a couch, recently i learned its a comforter, a deban or however its spelled is a couch!
I think a duvet is the warm part of your bed. It's the actual blanket, but it's designed to go inside a duvet cover. The cover gives you a pretty design, which you can take off and clean regularly, or change when you want to.
Traditionally (in all cases I think) a duvet is white or off-white. It can be down or fake-down. You don't usually sleep skin/sheet to a duvet, it's meant to go in a cover.
The fun part is a DUVET COVER! Yeah!
