Colour scheme for walls and skirting boards?
Question:I am having my hallway, stairs and landing and living-room-diner all painted the one colour scheme - probably a fawn/stoney shade on walls but am unsure how to contrast this with the skirting. Should the skirting be lighter or darker than the walls?
The carpet is a golden colour which is fairly neutral and ties in with the living room curtains and sofa.

Usually lighter-Perhaps a soft white or light cream.
Light brown and cream.

Dulux have a great website for ideas. You can even try different colour schemes and colourways.

white white white trust me it will look fab,and you will be glad you went for it!
Why not take a few strands from the carpet and have it color matched with the computers they have now at the paint stores. That way it is sure to match and compliment. I would go for the third and fourth accessory colors in your accent pieces or artwork.
