Does anyone know how to remove latex paint from a luan door?

use a non toxic stripper. You can pick it up at any home store. It's easy to use and you should be able to strip it with ease but it will depend on how many coats of paint are ont he door.

Use lemon oil on the paint (latex hates oil) to get it off. Then rub the whole door with it so that there's no sign that you had an oops somewhere.
