there is a construction adhesive called Mastic, that you can buy in tubes like caulking, that should work for you. you may have to hold it in place for a time, till it sets up, and make sure you put it where you want it the first time. and make sure to use enough. it will stick wood to just about anything.
You can get it at home depot, or some such store. Or you could make a wooden shelf, and glue that to the chimney, and then screw the birdhouses to the shelf.
try a product that comes a cocking tube called liquid nails
Hi, Unsure if this is what you are needing.
Take a look at link below.
Good Luck.

There are a number of ways to to it. Hang them from a concrete nail driven into the joint mortar, drill and drive a tap con, adhesive (Poly seam seal is excellent stuff) and on and on. Your local hardware store will probably be able to help.
Mastic is good, and liquid nails. Go to the Home Depot or Lowes and read some labels. If it says it works on brick and wood, and it says for outdoor use, get it!
Gorilla Glue made by elmers this is a uerathane based glue and works wonderful. Follow the instructions and I will guarantee success.
There are some clear two part epoxies out there that come in little syringes and mix at the nozzle. They claim to stick anything to anything, the problem is once things are stuck thats it and probably a bear to clean off if you change your mind. Best bet see your hardware man.
