What is a good mattress set to buy?

Question:I'm replacing my mattress, and I'm wondering if anyone has strong opinions about any of the major brands: Sealy, Serta, Simmons, Stearns & Foster, etc.

Answers:
My previous bed was a Simmons Back Care and I loved it! I now have a Serta Perfect Sleeper (plush) which is wonderful, but I preferred the Simmons. It was the right amount of firmness for my back but wasn't too hard. The Serta is a little too firm.

Simmon Or Tempur. Right nw is mid sales, u can go for special prices. =D
The minimal quality polyurethane foam used in the top layers of most innerspring mattresses rapidly degrades, resulting in body depressions. One option is to purchase a less expensive firm model and add your own 3" talalay latex topper and wool fleece pad.

Also consider a 6" firm talalay latex mattress.

Deffinatelly don't go for an innerspring... no matter what the quality, the springs are guarenteed to begin to compress from the very first use. Latex is good, but extremely heavy and not fantastic if you live in a warmish climate because they can get 'sweaty' in summer. There are a few really good quality foam matresses on the market, you should enquire about these. Also ask about tempor, or thermoelastic (its known by a few different names) its great for pressure points. My personal recomendation is a European mattress, its got all you could need and you can wash it when you need to (its the only mattress I know of which can be washed properly). Obviously washing a mattress will extend its life because it wont be getting full of bodily fluids and dead skin, not to mention dust mites... It's the Wenatex. It's not sold at retail outlets, so if you want to see it just look up the website and someone will contact you. They were pretty quick getting back to me, its also worth going to one of their seminars even if you don't want that particular matress. It's good education on knowing how to and what to shop for in a mattress.
