PC programme to help design room layout/extension?
Question:are there any PC programmes to buy like the one used on sarah beeny property ladder show that you can use on your pc to design extension/room lay out etc.
where to get them? what are they called?
Answers:
The programmes used on Property Ladder are full on professional CAD (computer aided design) programmes, such as Vectorworks or Autocad, which are pretty darned complicated and will require professional training. The simplest version of Vectorworks costs over £1000.
Sketch Up is a reasonable option, but will still take some figuring out. But, at least it is free!
You could also try the following online programmes:

I use Google Sketch Up for designing all sorts of stuff, not just landscapes or extension. Its only limits is your imagination.
Check out the product review on the site listed below.
There is a video to watch and see how to use it. Save it to your pc and watch it with media player.
They also offer you a free trial download which gives you 8 hours to have a go with and if you like it, then buy it.
It looks very complicated BUT it is so simple to use.
Also check out the the second link, its a gallery list of created designs.
Have a go.
