D.i.y. projects for room!!?
Question:hey guys. i really want to make my room more unique. everything in my room is pink or green, except the furniture. i want a diy project... but not a cheesy or generic one like put up a picture. i have those already! maybe a cubby made of wood or something like that. any ideas? thanks=)

so u want to make cubbies from scratch or jst put some together? Target/Walmart/K-mart carrys cubes/drawers/cube shelves etc.. in white or natural wood that u can put together & stack on top to build a wall or part of a wall w/ shelves/drawers etc... U could even paint them but u'll need to KILZ them lst then use paint OR u could jst paint the back of them for different colors. Some of the units come w/ doors & some w/ colored bins.
Craft stores or unfinish wood stores carry cubes that u could cover w/ fabric then get a piece wood from scrap & cover w/ batting then fabric w/ hot glue or staple gun then put on top for lid so it serves as seat & storage. U could even put wheels on it if u want to move it around
u can make pillow covers w/ sewing or IRON w/ STITCH WITCHERY (fabric store) . U can get fabric for from fabric store from the clearance bins. U can use the fabric for throw cushions. U can cover u'r lamp shades. U can cover windows. U can make pin up boards out of fabric.
Craft stores for shelves painted for books/cd/frames/stuffed animals/etc
just look at stuff diff. & be Creative & have fun!
Not exactly d.i.y, but you put things together from IKEA...
Also, get a couple of different kinds of wrapping paper that coordinates with the rest of you r room. Wrap some box lids and then hang them up. The look is mod/ whatever kind of wrapping paper you are using.
