So I want to paint my bedroom..?
Question:I am moving and I want to paint my bedroom. Im sick of always having white walls! The colors in my bedroom are pink, yellow, and orange...yes, I looove colors!! I just dont want my room to be too bright like a clowns room..lol

If you go to a paint store or Home Depot Remember to always chose a color you like on a swatch. Then go 1-2 shades lighter or more "muted"because once it is on the wall it will ALWAYS look darker and brighter.
I would personally go with a very light sunny yellow, to compliment your colors.
or
go opposite your main colors on the color wheel- the opposite color usually compliments and "pops" the color.

This is a very good idea for painting your room! i wish to be a designer and already had a lot of work done, at my flat! i have coloured my room with wonderful flowers on the white wall-and my room now like a gallery! so joint to do this, and try to change your lifea always cause it makes people become more happy and energy
I would go with a pale cream yellow or a pinkish-beige.
Use those colors, but in a very soft pastel tone. You can make wider stripes... just tape off randomly some wide and some narrow. If you have windows... get some sheers in the same colors as your stripes to keep the flow. Then use the darker versions of those colors in the room. It will keep it from looking so clownish, but still dramatic.
maybe you could have white walls and either do polka dots, stripes, or paint splatters of different colors.
Colours have psycological effect on body. it is a complete science. Without going into details, Blue & Green shades have very soothing effect on the body and are recomended for the bedrooms.
As an experiment an office was painted blue. It also had blue furniture & the blue carpet. Half the staff was found dosing.
