Need you help with teens room?

Question:we live in a mobile home and it has ugly paneling and flowered print on the rest of the wall painting over this in not a option, we tried painting paneling it did not look nice we could tear it out and sheet rock but that is way to costly and we have never done it, WE were thinking of covering the walls with fabric and using tacks covered with buttons to hold it up and cork board on one wall .What do you all think?so any help or suggestions would be great.

This site tells how to upholster the walls. You could also put up beadboard and paint the walls.
