Does Red Brick Stain Carpet?

Question:I just used red brick to lift my desk about 1.5 inches. The brick is on top of carpet. Is it going to stain the carpet?

i am not sure but i would cut a sm piece of cardboard or plastic to the same size and put under the bricks to be careful
