I am decorating my room, using pink, brown, white. Furniture from IKEA. Any fairly cheap, easy decorating tips
Question:As I said before, I am re-decorating my room. I am using pibk, brown and off-white, and the furniture is mostly from IKEA, so I'm going for a modern look. My accent, a hint of blown up (as in size) floral. Do you have/know any fairly cheap, easy decorating tips or a place where I could find some things that would coordinate with my room? Thanks!

You can get really great do it yourself decorating ideas from DIY Network. Follow the link and then choose an idea from the list to see if it inspires you! They also have full length videos for a lot of the crafts they have.
Good luck again;o)
tip # 1 DONT BUY IKEA
Ikea sucks.remember you get what you pay for.
Ikea doesn't really last very long, since it is KD and meant for high design & portability, not durability. I am worried that your blown up floral idea will become very expensive since you will tire of that quickly long before it wears out. I would punch up something in a more neutral color scheme with pillows in beige, brown, pink and white embroidery and flowers. You can even buy pillows that look like blooming roses, but not at Ikea. Sigrid Olson is available in that colorway at larger department stores like Dillard's. (That is where I bought mine).
The web site, hgtv.com has decorating tips just like the endless television shows on cable and magazines at Borders. If you are looking for more upscale yet affordable accessories, go to Stein Mart, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Michael's or Tuesday Morning for silk plants, pillows, bedroom sets and everything else you need.
