I'm redecorating my room in a Paris theme and I'm confused as to whether I should use dark or light furniture
Question:I'm also undecided as what color to paint the walls as well as the trim

Parisian usually uses like black rod iron furniture..for like cafe' theme... What colors r u thinking of painting u'r walls?
If u'r going the OLD WORLD PARISIAN.. then the brown furntiure would go great. along w/ old world colors like yellow/tan/glazes over it... red w/ glazes over it... anything that would dull & make it look older..
IF u'r going more for the cafe' style.. then bright colors w/ rod iron type furniture.. stripes..
There is really kinda 2 parts of France... one that is kinda uses bright colors... stripes/prints/ etc.. & those that r part of the Old World which have lots of washed away bricks/ deeper colors... castles.. things of that nature.
Keep the trim & walls the same color but if u'r going for more pop... then mayb the trim could b either drk drk brown or black along w/ u'r bright color

Paris calls itself the City of Light. Go with the lighter furniture.
I would paint the room a light tan and use cherry stain for the trim. With the furniture, I would pick burgundy or dark red furniture and painted metal stuff like:(vanity, bed, lights, etc.) And use like a dresser that matches the trim.
