Can I use accordion doors in an arched doorway?

Question:My friend wants to close off part of her apartment for privacy when company comes. She asked me to investigate accordion doors for her, for use in a doorway which has no door. I did, and found some good sites, but she has an arched doorway, and I do not think one can install the track from wall to wall without having a full-length straight top to attach to. I think drapes, which take less weight, can be used instead, with a curtain rod across the top, just under the arch.
Can accordion doors be used in an arched doorway?

Answers:
Think about this..the center of the arch is longer to the floor than the sides. How will you retract the long section without it bending on the bottom? You have the same problem with drapes.

Yes, you need a straight track.

She could hang a rod on the private side above the arch and draw them across as necessary. There are clear rods, but they are usually for panels that don't move, though.

Does she need to cover the whole opening? Moveable screens could be placed across the opening but the area above to the arch top would be open. The screens would then be stored off to the side when not in use.

I agree with the drapes. I'd go with sheer ones. As far as the accoridan door goes, you might have to buy a certain kind in order for it to fit properly but even then, I dont think that would be look nice because the visual balance from the arch and the folds in the door, would be off.
If you think about it, it is imossible to have accordion doors slide across a curved track. Therefore, you could not have them across and arched doorway without there being a semi-circle hole at the top.
Accoridain doors could be used, but there would be an open space above it. Drapes or beads would work.
