Sink for mudroom?

Question:We are adding a mudroom (with Laundry) at 'up north' site. I am looking for a sink and countertop recommendation. Hunters and fishermen will use the area (often). The sink and countertop need to be durable. Most often used for handwashing (I think), but I know it will get used for other things. I don't want to worry about it being ruined(scratched, chipped, stained). I want it to be able to be kept clean.

Answers:
You can never trust hunters to do the right thing by your sink, so I would go for an industrial sink/bench top with a built-in cutting board. These look great and come in many styles/colours and designs, so you can make it look really stylish and fashionable whilst having it 'hunter' proof. Good luck!

About any basic counter top should work OK. I mean, let's just hope the hunters are smart enough NOT to start cutting meat on the bare counter top!! Provide several nice large cutting boards, and they should figure it out. Just put a stainless steel sink in it, and it will last for years.
One of those molded fiberglass utility sinks works great and a DuPont Corian counter top is very durable. It can be sanded to remove scratches and other marks. You can also put a cabinet under the counter top for some additional storage space in your mudroom for laundry supplies or whatever.
I'd use Corian countertops and sink. They are durable, long lasting and easy to maintain!
