What can I use to hang things on the outside of my house that is made of stucco?
Question:are there special nails or hooks for stucco?
Answers:
You can also buy 'concrete' nails. To minimize damage criss-cross two pieces of masking tape before either drilling or hammering anything into stucco/concrete.
Hope this helps.
You should check with a hardware store like home depot or lowe's and talk to them - it will depend on what you are putting on your walls (weight) to get the correct materials.
You can either treat it like concrete and drill with a masonry bit then insert a plastic or lead anchor and a screw into that or you can go to the top of the wall and if you have wood up there (wall or overhang) put in screws close to the wall and drop wires down to hang stuff on.
You need to get a drill make a hole about a 1/4 inch round and use sheetrock anchors pop them in . thats it
My first question is this siding a true cementicious stucco or a modern day siding called something like Dryvit. This is a good place to start, but in either case I would always make sure that you hit a stud. You could cause more damage and work for yourself or others which could cost you more. good luck.
