I would like to refinish my deck. What is the best way to remove the red paint off of it.?
Question:I have been told to try and power wash the deck but the people at Home Depot said that it wouldn't remove all the paint. They suggested that I purchase this gew that I paint on the deck, let it sit for 24hrs, and then scrape it off. That would take me all summer to do. Any help would be appreciated

It sounds like he's right. My husband just took paint off our hot tub panels and it took all day to get the stuff off and re-stain because you had to paint it on, let it sit, scrape/brush it off, power wash it, then sand in some spots, and re-paint. My advice, get some friends to help you.
If your deck timbers are in good condition, then I would simply re-paint them in a colour of your choice, otherwise the 'paint-stripper' goo is the only option. Don't forget to check all the timber for 'rot' or loose boards and replace them before you commence the job. It is always easier to 'repair' before rather than after you refinish your deck. Good luck!
If paint remover doesnt work then I suggest you burn it off with a blow torch and sand it back to original condition.
I'd try the power washer before I spent the time on any paint strippers. It might not take all the paint off, but it will remove a lot of it. Then use the paint stripper goop to get the rest off, if you want a natural wood finish on the deck. If your going to use a colored finish, you might be able to apply it right over any remaining paint. It just may take 1 or 2 additional coats to get an even color finish.
power washing will do the trick, get a commerical power washer, did mine. looks great.
