What is a good color to paint a small kitchen...?
Question:right now it is red, but we will be selling our home and I wanted to paint it a lighter color to make the room look larger.
What are some good kitchen colors ??
Answers:
Whenever I go to open houses I like seeing neutral colors, whites creams, tans. I find that it brightens rooms and makes them look better. I also find i makes it easier to imagine my things in there, which is a plus when selling a home. Good luck!
lilac
We did our small kitchen in bright green with lots and lots of white trim and cabinets. It looks good, but I still think the color is too overwhelming for most people. I would suggest neutral like a nice tan or beige. It kind of depends what color your cabinets are.
White miniblinds with white valances over them to let in lots of light and give a nice finished look.
Best wishes.
white or light yellow
light colours can make it look bigger. consider white or light green/blue/etc.
white can make it have a more modern clean look.
blue, green,yellow??
Most people have the right idea here. Something that's light in color would be best because the darker a room is painted the smaller it looks. Another thing, make sure that you paint your trim and your ceiling the same color (preferably white) to draw people's eyes up and make the kitchen appear to be bigger. Try your best to bring in as much natural light as possible because that will always help to make the room seem more airy and spacious. You don't want to feel cramped in a room like the kitchen. So everything you can do to make it seem more spacious will totally make you feel more comfortable in it.
Eggshell white is always best to give the appearance of larger area.
You can also use a pale beige color, very pale.
Our realator told us to take down as many pictures, nicknack's as possible to make the area look larger.
Good luck on selling your home.
smth between yellow and orange... we painted our kitchen like that and it looks adorable
When selling a home it's best to use neutral colors. A color I use when selling a home is called navajo white. To me it looks more like maple cream but it gives a good clean finish to a room. It also looks great in a kitchen.
I think you should paint the kitchen yellow. Not TOO bright tho. The sun would make the yellow shine by itself. I hope you like my idea.
Definately a neutral color, see sherwin williams jersey cream.
pear green or sky blue.
I like yellow,,,however since it is for sale any light neutral color would be great as it allows the new owner to choose their own accents. Not bright white tho. Yellow might still be good. Since it is small they could always repaint and this would show them one option. Did you know that spiders are less apt to live in a house painted with light bright colors? This is VERY important to me. How about you??
i always think a really light yellowy/green looks very nice i cant explain the color ut i see it in magazines a lot and then with white trim.....
As with any small room, it's better to go with a light color. Our kitchen is light yellow and not very big. Anything like white or pastel colors would work very nicely. Any color really just a lighter shade of it.
Kitchens always look nice in yellow though I've noticed since we've done ours and I've seen others.
light blue and green.very pretty!
ttyl
yellow, baby blue, or mint green.
Lacey H said everything I would have answered here :-)
Totally agree.
Any color that isn't dark. Dark colors make a room look closed in and small. Light colors open up a room. Pale greens, yellows, oranges, tans, blues, lavenders etc..work better.
a manilla color
perhaps white, peach, or lilac should be good
