Personally I think an Asian theme with minimal furniture can look really beautiful in a bedroom.
Wheat colored walls with one accent wall in a deep wine red (make sure all walls are in a flat sheen). Bed headboard could be a chocolate or black suede. Bedspread in a microsuede mimicking a couple key colors in the room. Hanging paper lanterns in darker, more muted shades. Maybe a bronze or wrought-iron wall sconce for a couple/few candles.
Try checking out www.bhg.com . They have really great ideas that you can change up with every season. I personally like the Asian Theme right now. I painted my bed black. I have Red curtains, and even though I have moss green walls with White trim, it looks great. It is easy to find Asian knick knacks that really add to it.
You did not specify what sort of 20 yr olds - is this a couple? A female? A male? That would make a difference. Regardless, when I am working on a room for someone in that age group I try to steer them away from "themes" because I just think it is too kitchy and not very sophisticated. That age group likes clean and modern and the sensuality aspect comes from luxurious textures and materials. Typically they gravitate towards rich, saturated colors - although sometimes clean neutrals can be equally sensuous. This same age group likes a bit of retro in their modern. Some examples:
