Why can't you use exterior paint inside your house?

Question:

Answers:
If it is exterior latex paint then the difference is only a few additives. It will make little difference if you use it indoors. If it is an oil base paint then it is a big difference and you need to consider a few things. The fumes as it is drying would be one of the major ones. They may be toxic and/or flammable. The smell may remain for weeks or months.

You can... it just costs more
You can.

Its a little thicker so details can be tricky but it'll work.
You actually can if you really want to but I rec you do not choose this. Exterior paint is heavy duty, thicker, takes longer to dry, takes more prep work, and has a strong smell. If you decide to paint over it you have a major job on your hands.
YOU CAN USE EXTERIOR PAINT INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. I THINK EXTERIOR IS JUST THICKER AND STRONGER BASED PAINT. I HAVE USED IT IN MY HOME, AND IT ACTUALLY LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN INTERIOR PAINT. SOME WOULD SAY THERES NOT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE, BUT I COULD TELL. JUST DO IT, IT'LL LOOK GREAT.
You can, but it is not always a good idea. First of all It may contain mildewcides and pesticides that emit toxic fumes. They are not dangerous in well ventilated areas but could be harmful to your health in high concentrations. Second exterior paints will not look right when used indoors. Brush marks and lap marks show up more in exterior paints. Some exterior paints will work fine on some interior applications, but as a general rule they do not. Besides, interior paints usually cost less so why pay more than you need to.
You can use traffic paint in your house if you want but....

Interior paint levels better, comes in a much wider color selection,is easier to work with, smells better and if flat in finish scrubs much better and all in all just plain looks better.Add in the repaint factor later down the line and you have the answer
you can but the finish look may not be what you want. it is usually flat.
